About this file

This document outlines the salient characteristics for a Blood Parameter Monitoring System procurement requirement. The system must provide real-time monitoring of oxygen delivery (DO2) as one of 12 key blood parameters, including pH, pCO2, pO2, temperature, HCO3, BE, SO2, hematocrit, hemoglobin, potassium, DO2, VO2, and blood flow. The system must obtain FDA approval through an approved protocol and maintain full FDA and TAA compliance.

The monitoring system must incorporate specific operational and safety features including a high-visibility display for clear readability, an integrated self-diagnostic system, and an integrated battery backup operation mode to ensure uninterrupted patient safety during electrical power surges or outages. The system must include an integral monitor printer capable of documenting the system's self-diagnostics for record-keeping purposes. Additionally, the equipment must be transportable to support deployment across multiple locations or clinical settings.
