About this file
This document is a Requirement Description with Salient Characteristics for Water Stations. The procurement specifies fourteen mandatory requirements for water station systems, encompassing compliance, functionality, performance, and operational characteristics essential for satisfactory implementation.
The water stations must be ADA compliant with a recessed dispenser to eliminate cross-bottle contamination and capability to chill water between 40-42 degrees Fahrenheit. Required certifications include NSF/ANSI 42, 53, and 58; ISO 09001; and NSF AMSI 372, 61, and 51. The system must incorporate an internal drainage system, multi-filter/purification system removing up to 99 percent of tap water impurities, and a secondary trigger mechanism for water dispensing in case of sensor failure. The stations must be energy efficient and capable of obtaining base access. Operationally, the system shall be removable and relocatable, require only a water line, drain line, and 110-volt electrical receptacle connection, and include a foot pedal option for hands-free operation. The system must fit into compact areas with a maximum floor space footprint of three square feet and shall not require mounting or attachment to building structures, functioning as a standalone installation.
