About this file
This is a questionnaire attachment to a Request for Information (RFI) for a Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The questionnaire contains 17 questions focused on gathering detailed technical specifications and capabilities of potential sUAS solutions, including dimensions, weight requirements, ruggedization standards, power sources, runtime capabilities, battery specifications, and compliance with Defense Innovation Unit Blue UAS listing.
The questions also probe vendors about Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL), Technology Readiness Level (TRL), existing DoD contracts, spare parts availability, training capabilities, maintenance requirements, and special tools or procedures needed for system operation. This questionnaire appears designed to assess vendor capabilities and product maturity for a tethered drone system intended for maritime search and rescue operations, with specific focus on system supportability and field maintenance considerations.

Attachment 1 Questionnaire Questionnaire
1. What are the dimensions of the proposed system (both set up for operation and packed for transportation)?
2. How much does your system weigh?
· Specify weight of sUAS (Drone), tether, power supply, and total system weight.
3. What ruggedization requirements has your system been tested to meet? As a minimum, specify immersion/water resistance, shock/vibe, dust and temperature limits (operating and storage).
4. What power sources are used to operate your proposed system? Is the tethered power source commercially available (common fuel or batteries)?
5. What run-time does the system have (tethered and untethered) under fair weather conditions? Include energy source and weight for tethered run-time.
6. What is the battery voltage when the system is in storage?
7. How long to fully charge battery from a storage state?
8. Is your system on the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Blue UAS list?
9. Has your system been assessed for supply chain risk management, including parts and/or software sourced from China or other nations of concern?
10. What is the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of your product?
· Is it currently in a prototyped or fieldable stage?
11. What is the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of your product?
12. What systems have been sold to Department of Defense Customers? Do you have any active contracts for purchase of these systems within DoD?
13. Will spares be provided with purchase of system? If so, what parts will be included?
· If spares are not included with purchase, what would a spares kit cost and what would be included?
14. What type of training can you offer for maintenance of system and operation of system?
15. Is there any type of maintenance that cannot be accomplished in the field?
· I.E. system will need to be shipped back to manufacturer.
16. Are there any special alignment procedures with removing and or replacing a sensor?
17. Are any special tools required for maintenance or operation of the system?
