STATEMENT OF WORK
REPAIR PERMANENT SHADE STRUCTURES PS 12, AREA 14, PS 29
1.0 BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: The United States Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is home to thousands of cattle that are used to develop scientific information and new technologies to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef industry. As part of the effort animal welfare is of the upmost concern. Shade structures are an integral part of health and heat stress management which provides shade for the livestock at the USMARC Facility.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
2.0 SCOPE/TASKS: Contractor is required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, parts to remove torn shade fabric and broken parts from shade structures and repair/replace with new shade fabric and new parts to make the shade structures functional again. Parts consisting of but not limited to new ratchets, new fabric, new piping, new PVC piping, etc. Contractor shall verify with shade manufacturer, (Permanent), that correct parts for repairs are ordered and installed correctly. Contractor shall verify and inspect with the USMARC COR that the repairs to the shade structures are done correctly. Any items replaced shall be removed from property by Contractor. Working hours shall be from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm on dates mutually agreed to by Contractor and USMARC Personnel.
3.0 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT: Repair Permanent Shade Structures @ PS 12, Area 14, PS 29 at USMARC.
· Remove damaged shade structure fabric
· Replace with new shade structure fabric
· Replace fasteners as required
4.0 USE OF GOVERNMENT FACILITIES (UTILITIES,SAFETY,SECURITY,ETC.):
Water, Gas, Electricity: Contractor shall have to provide portable generator power for electricity and own potable water as these shade structures are in remote areas. Contractor shall have to provide his own portable toilet facilities. All contract personnel shall complete a visitor information sheet upon first day of work of the project.
5.0 CLEAN UP: Contractor shall clean premises of all debris during and after performance of contract and will be required to remove all debris after completion of work prior to final inspection.
6.0 DELIVERABLE/SCHEDULE/PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:
· Work to begin no later than 30 days after the award.

Pole Shed 12 Half of Mile off road 315 to the north on road J
Area 14 One forth of mile off Road 313 to the north, half of mile off road J to the east.
Pole Shed 29 One mile off of road K to the west on what would be a continuation of road 308 (road becomes dirt and part of pastures).
