Product Description Naval Special Warfare Command Navy Parachute Team Canopies
22 August 2022
1.0 BACKGROUND
1.1 The Navy Parachute Team trains in and demonstrates Canopy Relative Work
(CRW) and Relative Work (RW) with Performance Designs Inc. (LIGHTNING, SABRE, SPECTRE and OPTIMUM RESERVE) model Parachute Canopies.
These parachutes have been tested by military freefall experts and are specifically Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) approved for the Navy Parachute Team.
2.0 OBJECTIVE
2.1 To provide the Navy Parachute Team with high-profile training and demonstration parachute canopies for the purpose of CNRC and Naval Special Warfare recruiting efforts.
3.0 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT
3.1 The Contractor shall provide Buy American Act Compliant Performance Designs Inc. (Brand Name) Canopies and Reserve’s identified herein, to include the designated Navy Parachute Team artwork. The contractor shall provide artwork design for approval to the technical POC listed below prior to filling the order.
Brand Name equivalents shall not be accepted under this contract.
3.2 The colors of the canopy are yellow with navy blue “SEAL”, “SWCC”, “EOD”, “DIVER” OR “NAVY” artwork stitched into the canopy.
3.3 Each Parachute System component has been evaluated as "non-standard parachute equipment" by Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA and Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) by the Technical Authority for all Navy Parachute Equipment and Systems, Program Executive Office, Littoral and Mine Warfare (PEO LMW), Washington Navy Yard, DC. The Parachute System's components are listed in NAVSEAINST 13512.1L, Premeditated Personnel Parachuting (P3) Equipment Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) list.
3.4 Specifications and Quantities: (Total Canopy Qty: 21)
SABRE3 SA-150 (artwork: NAVY). Qty: 2 OPTIMUM RESERVE OP-176 (artwork: none). Qty: 6 OPTIMUM RESERVE OP-218 (artwork: none). Qty: 2 LIGHTNING PC-176 (artwork: NAVY). Qty: 4 LIGHTNING PC-176 (artwork: EOD). Qty: 2 LIGHTNING PC-193 (artwork: NAVY). Qty: 2 LIGHTNING PC-218 (artwork: NAVY). Qty: 2 LIGHTNING PC-218 (artwork: SEAL). Qty: 1
3.5 The Lightning parachutes shall have a 1 ½” Type 3 Nose Reinforcement.
4.0 DELIVERY INFORMATION
4.1 Delivery Address:
2446 Trident Way San Diego, CA 92155
4.2 Delivery Date: NLT 30 weeks after contract award. Request the LIGHTNING
PC-176 and RESERVE OP-176 be prioritized for earliest delivery. Early deliveries are encouraged and acceptable.
4.3 Special Instructions: Please contact Govt POC (TBD), in advance to coordinate delivery scheduling.
5.0 SECURITY:
5.1 N/A
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE
6.1 The Government reserves the right to perform inspections and surveillance to evaluate the Contractor’s compliance to the contract terms to include proper delivery of quantity and type of goods. The Government will make every effort to ensure that the surveillance methods used are conducted in an objective, fair, and consistent manner.
7. MARKINGS AND LIMITED USE OF DATA
7.1 The Contractor shall refrain from using “Naval Special Warfare Command” (NSWC), reference to any NSWC personnel by title or position within NSWC, or this contract in any of its publications, websites, materials, media, or advertising media. The Contractor shall not use or reproduce the Department of the Navy’s trademarks or trade secrets with respect to Naval Special Warfare, Naval Special Warfare training, and the Navy SEALs/SWCCs (i.e., there are several U.S.
trademark registrations in connection with the words NAVY SEALS, the Trident logo, and the SWCC logo).
