PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Naval Special Warfare Command
Non-Tactical COTS RAPPS Canopy Assemblies
1. BACKGROUND
1.1. Naval Special Warfare Group ONE (NSWG-1) Logistics Support Unit ONE (LOGSU-1) requires new canopy assemblies to replace current worn out systems that are at or nearing the end of their authorized service life. These systems are intricate in design and must meet strict manufacturing specifications IAW service directives. They are critical components of Non-Tactical Commercial Off- The-Shelf Ram-Air Personnel Parachute Systems utilized by personnel involved in Premeditated Personnel Parachuting (P3).
2. OBJECTIVE
2.1. Naval Special Warfare Command (NSW) intends to award a purchase order to provide LOGSU-1 with parachute canopy assemblies for parachute training support during NSW P3 Operations.
3. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT
3.1. Product Name: Sabre 2 Main Canopy Assemblies and Performance Designs Reserve Canopy Assemblies manufactured by Performance Designs.
3.1.1. Brand name only products. These Canopy Assemblies are designated on the P3 Airdrop Equipment Authorized for Navy Use (ANU) list as PERSONNEL PARACHUTE ASSEMBLY, NON-TACTICAL.
3.2. Description and Capabilities:
3.2.1. Performance Designs Sabre 2 Main Canopy Assemblies which includes:
(a) 9-cell main canopy
(b) All Zero Porosity fabric
3.2.2. Performance Designs Reserve Canopy Assemblies which includes:
(a) 7-cell reserve canopy
(b) F111 type fabric
3.3. Specifications/Salient Characteristics:
3.3.1. Performance Designs Sabre 2 Main Canopy Assemblies shall include the following options:
(a) Color: Navy Blue
(b) Line Type: Microline
(c) Connector Link Type: Main Slinks
3.3.2. Performance Designs Reserve Canopy Assemblies which shall include the following options:
(a) Color: White
(b) Line Type: Microline
(c) Connector Link Type: Reserve Slinks
3.4. Quantities:

6. MARKINGS AND LIMITED USE OF DATA
6.1. The Contractor shall refrain from using “Naval Special Warfare Command” (NSWC), reference to any NSWC personnel by title or position within NSWC, or this contract in any of its publications, websites, materials, media, or advertising media. The Contractor shall not use or reproduce the Department of the Navy’s trademarks or trade secrets with respect to Naval Special Warfare, Naval Special Warfare training, and the Navy SEALs/SWCCs (i.e., there are several U.S. trademark registrations in connection with the words NAVY SEALS, the Trident logo, and the SWCC logo).
7. QUALITY ASSURANCE
7.1. The Government reserves the right to perform inspections and surveillance to evaluate the Contractor’s compliance to the contract terms to include proper delivery of quantity and type of goods.
The Government will make every effort to ensure that the surveillance methods used are conducted in an objective, fair, and consistent manner.
