STATEMENT OF WORK

24 June 2025

673 ABW CHAPLAIN CORPS MARRIAGE CARE AND SINGLES RETREATS

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: A resort facility is needed for off-site military Marriage Care and Singles Retreats. The contractor shall provide a facility at least 30 miles and not more than 100 miles from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). The location must provide the atmosphere and ambiance for attendees to be in a relaxed and non-stressful environment equivalent to or better than the “four diamond” industry standards of AAA. The purpose of the retreat is to enhance marriages and sustain positive, enriched relationships for Airmen and Soldiers. Retreats will include: lodging, conference space, food and beverage, and a variety of recreational activities.

Retreats are more intimate and spiritual than conferences. Retreats, by design, are held in a location apart from normal workday and family life. Ideally, they should be in a setting that is conducive to strengthening marriages and enhancing relationships. For this reason, this initiative will follow the USAF Chaplain Corps MarriageCare Retreat Program.
