The air show rehearsal day is on 4 April 2025. The rehearsal day will require two jumps, one for the opening ceremonies with the American flag presentation in the morning and one to begin the evening show at 1900L. On 5 and 6 April 2025, one jump per morning is required for opening ceremonies with the American flag presentation.
Contractor Requirements: The Contractor shall ensure all personnel and warbird aircraft meet all requirements for flight as detailed in Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and within the limitations prescribed by the Nellis AFB Open House FAR Waiver (FAA Form 7711-1). If flying aerobatics, the Contractor must also be certified through the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and meet all requirements in accordance with FAA order 8900.1 Vol. 3, Chapter 6. All pilots performing aerobatics must possess a current FAA Form 8710-7, Statement of Aerobatic Competency, or Transport Canada Aviation (TCA) Form 26-0307, Statement of Aerobatic Competency. All teams or individuals conducting formation aerobatics must have demonstrated or substantiated their skills and have the “formation aerobatics” notation placed on their statement of aerobatic competency.
Aerial Demonstration Requirements: The Air Show flying days are 4, 5, and 6 April 2025.
The Contractor agrees to two performances 4 April 2025 and one performance 5 and 6 Aprile 2025. The Organizer, at their sole discretion, shall determine whether weather conditions allow the Contractor to conduct any flight. The performance duration is subject to change at the Organizer's discretion. Skydivers must be able to complete night jumps.
Static Display Requirements: The Contractor shall make the personnel available for static display. Based on Air Force policy, the Contractor shall not solicit donations or additional compensation from the public on an Air Force installation unless the Contractor is a legitimate “War Bird” 501(c)(3) private organization. Air Force shows are free to the public and charge no admission. The Contractor may not display or present any signage or person charged for an admission fee to tour equipment or display it in any way, shape, or form. However, unsolicited donations are permissible. If a member of the public wishes to make a donation, they should be directed to the designated donation area where no signage or person blocks or interferes with the view of the aircraft by the public and is displayed as a “donation.”
Location: Nellis Air Force Base, approximately nine miles north of Las Vegas, Nevada, on US Highway 15. The Contractor will primarily operate on the flight line during the air show.
Period of Performance: The Contractor shall arrive at Nellis Air Force Base by 1700 PST on Thursday, 3 April 2025. The Contractor shall not depart Nellis Air Force Base prior to 1730 PST on Sunday, 6 April 2025, and if staying until Monday, will plan on departing NET 1000 PST on 7 April 2025.
