About this file

This document is a technical specifications document for a federal contract requirement issued by the Armed Forces Radiobiology Research Institute (AFRRI), Radiation Sciences Department, for the Mirion Genie 4 and Cryocooler Upgrade.

The requirement consists of two primary components: (1) a software upgrade from the obsolete Genie 2000 gamma spectrometer software to Genie Spectroscopy Suite V4.0 with ISOCS/LabSOCS Mathematical Efficiency Calibration Software V4.5, both provided as perpetual, non-expiring licenses for electronic download and installation on a single AFRRI-furnished computer; and (2) supply of a new cryo-cooler replacement for one HPGe detector currently in operation. The Genie Multi-Input Perpetual License must support multiple MCA inputs simultaneously, include acquisition control for specified detector types, provide gamma and alpha analysis capabilities, and be qualified for Windows 10 and 11 operation. The ISOCS/LabSOCS license must include both geometry templates and be compatible with Genie V4.0 or later. The vendor must provide on-site installation and support performed by a qualified Mirion support engineer, including system set-up with verification, basic familiarization training with hardware and software, and a firm and fixed price covering all labor and travel expenses. Deliverables include both perpetual licenses, the cryo-cooler unit, installation and verification report, user manuals in digital format, and warranty documentation. Delivery, installation, and training must be completed within 45 days after contract award, with final acceptance contingent upon system demonstration meeting specifications, successful acceptance testing with AFRRI staff, and delivery of all required documentation. AFRRI will provide laboratory space, power, and the computer for software installation.
