About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details an in-frame diesel engine rebuild for a 2002 Oshkosh TI3000 Fire Fighting Truck at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. The critical repair requires a Detroit Diesel authorized service provider within a 100-mile radius, such as Velocity Truck Centers or Clarke Power Services Inc., to perform the work. The technician must be a certified diesel mechanic with extensive experience servicing Detroit Diesel Series 92 engines.
The comprehensive rebuild includes replacing multiple engine components such as cylinder kits, injectors, cylinder heads, thermostats, nuts, bolts, gaskets, springs, spacers, filters, and all necessary engine fluids. The contractor will use OEM or equivalent parts meeting OEM specifications and is responsible for environmental cleanup and waste disposal. The work is time-sensitive due to the fire truck's critical mission, with the goal of preventing the Fire Department's Crash Support water capability from falling from "Yellow" to "Red" status. The contractor will provide a 1-year warranty for parts, labor, and workmanship.
