About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of State (DOS) Office of the Procurement Executive (OPE) regarding the establishment of a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) in FY25.
The RFI seeks to identify qualified and interested sources to provide specialized independent and objective technical and systems engineering expertise to the DOS in addressing global diplomatic issues. The FFRDC would focus on three core areas: Diplomatic Innovation and Modernization, Global CyberTech Solutions, and Global Operations and Acquisitions. The RFI outlines the draft scope of services, poses detailed questions for industry to respond to, and provides information on submission requirements and a planned industry day. Responses are due by October 2, 2024, and the government may or may not issue a formal solicitation based on the RFI responses.
