About this file
Attachment 1 is a salient characteristics document for a Counter Unmanned Aerial System (c-UAS) procurement by the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground. The document specifies requirements for 4,145 c-UAS units with detailed technical specifications, including drone detection capabilities for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Groups 1, 2, and 3) with a 2+ mile detection range, real-time classification, and 360-degree detection capabilities.
Key technical requirements include a handheld display unit with online/offline mapping, ability to tag drones as friendly or hostile, geolocation accuracy of 10-20 meters, battery life over 4 hours, IP65 water/dust resistance, and single soldier portability. The procurement has specific restrictions, notably that components CANNOT be manufactured in China. The opportunity is a pre-solicitation sources sought notice, potentially set aside for small businesses, with responses due by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on 4 June 2025, to be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist Milena Pomocka.
