C-12B/F “Huron” Configuration
General Description: The Navy C-12B/F is a military version of the Beechcraft BE200
KingAir. It is an all–metal, low-wing, twin turbo prop, T-tail monoplane with an axial flow engine mounted on each wing. Fully pressurized, FAA certified aircraft capable of carrying up to 10 people (crew included) and/or cargo up to the maximum airframe weight of 13,500 lbs. (restricted).
Cockpit Instrumentation: The cockpit should be designed to closely represent the actual setup. Depictions can be found in the NATOPS Manual (*see note below) NAVAIR 01-
C12AAA-1 Change 2 figs. 2-2, 2-3,2-4 are excellent depictions and should be used as references.

NATOPS NAVAIR 01C12FFF-1 manuals will be combined as soon as the NATOPS
CNO office can have them printed.
Engines: PT6A-41 (B) / PT6A-42 (F) have a three-stage axial, single stage reaction turbine. The power turbine two-stage reaction turbine counterrotating with the compressor turbine drives the output shaft.
Engine instruments: ITT, Torque and Propeller Tachometers, Fuel Flow, Oil pressure/Oil Temperature indicators are vital and should be matched closely to ref (1).
Electrical system: 28 VDC. 115 / 26 VAC. Starter/Generators: (2) 250amp 27.5 - 29
VDC. Inverters: (2) 110 - 120 VAC 390-410 Hz. 11 buses (B), 12 (F). Battery is 24V /
34 Amps. Ground Power receptacle right wing requires 30 VDC Max, 300 amps cont.
Avionics
Navigation:
• 2 VOR/LOC/GS receivers receive and interpret VOR and LOC signals in the freq.
range 108.00-117.95MHZ 160 VOR channels, 40 localizer channels and 40 glideslope channels. VIR-30 (B), VIR-32 (F)
• DME indicator: DME-42 (F)
• 1 TACAN receiver: SANS-706 (B/F)
• Altimeter: VG-14A (B/F)
• RAD ALT: AA-200 (B), AA-300 (F)

Upgrades
The delivery dates on the following upgrades are not certain, however they should be given due consideration in a simulator contract for the future C-12 B/F developments.

Engine instruments: TGT, torque, propeller RPM (N2), engine RPM (N1), fuel flow, oil pressure/temperature indicators are vital and should be matched closely to above cockpit figures.
Electrical system: 28 VDC, 115/26 VAC. Starter/Generators (2) 250amp 27.5-29 VDC.
Inverters (2) 110-120 VAC, 390-410 Hz. 13 buses. Battery is 24V, 34 Amps. Ground power receptacle located in underside of the right wing requires 30 VDC Max, 300 amps cont, 1000 amps for 0.1 seconds.

Upgrades
Note: By the summer of 2001, the UC-12 community will be going through a flight safety upgrade to improve its avionics capabilities. Improvements include: TCAS II, Enhanced GPWS, new radar, moving map presentation on new MFD, aircrew ICS, and rudder position to empty channel in Flight Data Recorder. More information on these new systems is available on request.
