Salient Characteristics Specification

1. Project Title: Deployable Communications Package

2. Project Location: 934th Communications Squadron

760 Military Highway, Bldg. 761

Minneapolis, MN 55450

3. General Scope:

A. This kit contains worldwide deployable communication equipment that provides both unclassified and classified data over multiple transmission paths to include built in cellular, or Ethernet connection to public internet.

B. This is a base initiative that would provide real world Continuity of Operations (COOP) locally in the event of an emergency or natural disaster, as well as short notice deployable communications capabilities. These kits would have a wing-wide mission impact regarding accessibility of network communications connectivity.

C. Enable the Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concept of mobile operations by providing classified and unclassified data connectivity and Voice over Secure IP in remote locations.

4. Detailed Requirements: Deployable Communications Package (Brand Name: KLAS)

A. Cradlepoint – (Quantity 2 Each) KLAS-VOY-2SSIBR900-BRKT-R1, Voyager 2 Slim Cradlepoint IBR900 Bracket

1. Cellular antennas (2 Each)

4. Rugged Fanless Chassis enclosure

5. Minimum 1Gb routed ports (2 Each)

9. Minimum 50mb network license

C. Server Virtualization Module – (Quantity 2 Each)

1. Holds any combination of:

a. Network modules (2 Each) or,

b. m-series modules with optional mounts for a GFE HAIPE device (4 Each)

F. Slim Rackmount Bracket (Quantity 2 Each)

KLAS-VOY-2SS-RMBRKT-R1, Voyager 2 Slim Rackmount Bracket

1. To mount into approx. 19” rack

2. To work with a rack 20” to 30” deep

G. Lithium-Ion battery – (Quantity 6 Each)

KLAS-VOY-CHAS1-R8, Voyager 1 Chassis

1. Serves as a backplane for all network modules

2. Provides 12V or 24V DC output for external devices including:

a. Persistent Systems' Wave Relay MPU

b. GFE HAIPE devices

c. AC/DC power supply

5. 1 year warranty on all items above that includes:

A. Expanded hardware coverage

B. Access to expert 24/7 cleared technical support
