STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR PROCURING AND INSTALLATION

OF CAGES FOR THE 352D SWTS

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The contractor shall procure remove old and install new cages in the existing cadre cage room of

BLD 501 for the 352D SWTS, Pope Field, NC, 28308.

2. SCOPE OF WORK

The contractor shall perform the work at BLD 501, Pope Army Airfield. The contractor will provide a design for the placement of new cages to be approved by the Facility Manager (Mr. Dan Kaster). The contractor purchases, ships new cages, removes old and installs new cages per provided specifications in the existing cadre cage room of BLD 501. Installation includes complete construction of all supports, walls, doors, etc. Cage specifications will be provided. Old cages will be removed from the building and placed on a trailer (GOV provided) for DRMO. All materials will be approved by the facility manager (Mr. Dan Kaster). The contractor shall coordinate with the Facility Manager to make arrangements for base access. Minimum of 33 cages will be installed (pending proposed layout) of 6' x 6'x 8'H. Depending on layout, an additional 6' x 6' cage may be installed for miscellaneous storage as well as possibly three smaller cages pending room provided in the accepted proposed layout.

Shelves in current cages will be re-used. New 60" x 24" shelving will have to be provided for approximately 7-10 cages. All cages will have a new 24"x18" heavy duty drawer unit.

3. WORK HOURS

3.1 Work shall be performed during normal duty business hours: M-F 8:30am – 4:30pm EST.

3.2 Work shall be done in such a manner as to not interfere with student training. Vehicle placement

(parking) and movement shall be coordinated with the facility manager to ensure placement does not interfere with normal operations of the Squadron.

3.3 Work shall be completed within a timely manner not to exceed 14 days after award of the contract.

4. SECURITY

4.1 All workers shall be legal U.S. Citizens with valid picture IDs who are able to gain clearance on to the military installation.

4.2 No guns, drugs, or illegal paraphernalia will be authorized on the military installation.

4.3 All vehicles, equipment, and containers may be subject to search at any time while on or seeking access to the military installation.

5. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE

Upon completion of work, the Unit Facility Manager will inspect the area prior to government acceptance.

6. MATERIALS LIST AND CAGE SPECIFICATIONS (33 ea. cages- any additional cages will match) WIRE MESH ENCLOSURES - Specifications

Mesh 10-gauge welded wire mesh (2” x 1”) rectangular woven wire 101 ¼”H including ceiling

Panels

Frame: 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” x 1/8” Angle Fabrication: Mesh is securely welded to frame with flat steel stiffeners Welded to frame behind mesh panels longer than 3’6” Doors Frame: 1 ¼” x 1 ¼” x 1/8” Angle Fabrication: Mesh is securely welded to frame with flat steel stiffeners Welded to frame for extra strength where needed.

Sliding doors are 36” W x 96”H with padlock hasp

Post Material: 2 x 2 x 14-gauge Square Tubing Fabrication: ¼” x 2” x 7” plate welded at base of post

Hardware 3/8” standard thread grade two plated for panel connections. Door hardware shall be ¼” x 1” self-drilling screws. 3/8” floor anchors and all other hardware furnished with each job.

Finish All non-plated parts shall be powder coated gray.

Includes black (non-see through) weld curtains on all panels except ceiling.

Each Wire cage (33 pending layout-with possible extra miscellaneous cage with no shelving) (72W x 72D x 96H) includes:

36”W sliding door, 34” hanger bar with shelf Privacy curtains on all sides 1 section of heavy-duty steel shelving 60W x 24D x 75H with 6 shelves (existing shelving that fits these dimensions will be re-used-need approximately 7 new sections of this type) 14-gauge steel uprights, 20-gauge steel shelves, 14-gauge shelf reinforcements

1 two drawer cabinet with butcher block top 24W x 18D x 20H

• 20-gauge steel frame, powder coat paint

• 18-gauge steel drawers with 400 lb. capacity per drawer

• Wood top sealed & varnished, 1 ¾” thick 1 Hanger bar w/shelf above 34" long

Extra smaller Wire Cage Lockers (Qty: 2 pending layout) Each cage: 48”D x 72”W x 101”H with ceiling Includes:

• 30”W sliding door with padlock hasp

• 40” Shelf with hanger bar below

• Privacy curtains on 4 sides 1 section of shelving 36W x 18D x 75H with 6 shelves - 14-gauge steel uprights, 20-gauge steel shelves, 14-gauge shelf reinforcements

1 two drawer cabinet with butcher block top 24W x 18D x 20H

• 20-gauge steel frame, powder coat paint

• 18-gauge steel drawers with 400 lb. capacity per drawer

Extra smaller Wire Cage Lockers (Qty: 1 pending layout) Each cage: 72”D x 48”W x 101”H with ceiling Includes:

• 24”W sliding door with padlock hasp

• 22” Shelf with hanger bar below

• Privacy curtains on 4 sides 1 section of shelving 42W x 18D x 75H with 6 shelves - 14-gauge steel uprights, 20-gauge steel shelves, 14-gauge shelf reinforcements

1 two drawer cabinet with butcher block top 24W x 18D x 20H

• 20-gauge steel frame, powder coat paint

• 18-gauge steel drawers with 400 lb. capacity per drawer
