STATEMENT OF WORK FOR

BBEC IRON GATE REPLACEMENT

WO#14706067

1. INTRODUCTION:

The contractor shall provide all personnel, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, supervision, administration, labor, and services necessary to purchase, remove, dispose of, install loading dock gate and ramp replacement, in a manner that will maintain satisfactory facility conditions and present a neat, clean, and professional appearance.

2. TASK DESCRIPTION

2.1 LOCATION: This contract is to be performed at the Back Bay Event Center (BBEC), building 6732, Keesler AFB, MS.

2.2 DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

2.2.1 The Contractor is urged and expected to examine the site and make note of all requirements of the work before submitting any proposals. The Contracting Officer (CO) will provide drawings, specifications, and documents relevant to this requirement. The Contractor shall check all drawings furnished immediately upon receipt and notify the CO of any discrepancies. The Contractor shall be responsible for any errors that might have been avoided by complying with these procedures set forth. Any accessories or incidental items not specifically shown on the Drawings and detailed in the SOW herein, which are necessary and/or required to complete the work within the intent of these documents, shall be included by the Contractor without additional cost to the Government. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the SOW/Specifications/Drawings, and subject to the terms and conditions of this contract.

2.2.2 Utilities for the work will be provided by the Government unless otherwise noted.

2.2.3 It is not anticipated that hazardous material will be encountered during the course of work.

However, should such material be encountered, the Contractor is to immediately stop work and contact the CO.

2.2.3.1 REMOVE EXSISTING:

N/A.

2.2.3.2 MODIFY EXISTING:

N/A.

2.2.3.3 PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW:

A. Provide and install main Black Steel Gate, 10’ 6” high X 162” wide.

B. Provide and install aluminum ramp gate 10’ 6” high X 4’ wide.

C. Contractor shall remove all construction debris, scraps, and other foreign matter from the site when installation is complete.

2.3 PERFORMANCE TIME: Performance will begin 10 days after Contract Award and shall be completed 30 days later.

2.4 PERFORMANCE OF WORK: Services shall be conducted in conformity with this SOW. All work shall be done in a neat and workmanlike manner and in keeping with generally accepted standards for similar work.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION:

3.1 COMPLETED WORK: The Contractor shall inform the Contracting Officer (CO) when work is complete and ready for inspection. In the event that the work is not acceptable IAW the SOW, the Customer will record a list of items to be corrected and schedule a date for re-inspection. The Contractor shall ensure all corrections are made no later than the scheduled date for re-inspection. Any damages caused by the Contractor shall be repaired or replaced at the Contractor’s expense.

3.2 WARRANTY: The Contractor shall provide all manufacturer warranties and provide a 12-month warranty on all workmanship under normal use from date of final acceptance.

3.3 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED FACILITIES AND SERVICES: There are no government furnished supplies and equipment available for this contract.

3.4 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED UTILITIES: The government will furnish electricity, water, and sewage service where existing for accomplishment of work IAW this contract.

If adequate power supply is not available, it is the Contractor’s responsibility to provide generators, power/extension cords, spider boxes, and/or etc.

3.5 HOURS OF OPERATION: The contractor will be able to accomplish this work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Contractor will not normally be permitted to work on weekends or on the following federal holidays (or the day the Federal Government observes these holidays) unless approved by the CO. To be approved by the CO, the Contractor shall provide documentation showing work performed outside the hours of work will benefit the project’s mission. If approved by the CO, the Contractor shall coordinate such work with the CS:

3.6 JOBSITE SAFETY: The Contractor shall perform work in a safe manner IAW all Federal, State, and local safety regulations and all OSHA Safety and Health Requirements. The Contractor shall display the appropriate caution signs when work operations might pose a risk to injury for any personnel that are present. Provide a written notification to the CO as soon as possible of each occurrence of damage to Government property and/or an accident resulting in death, injury, occupational disease, or adverse environmental impact. The Contractor shall provide a copy of accident investigation reports to the CO within five (5) calendar days of each occurrence.

3.7 COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND REGULATIONS: The Contractor shall be knowledgeable of and comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements covering the work required under this contract. In the event the applicable laws, regulations, and requirements change during the term of this contract, the Contractor shall be required to comply with such changes when they come into effect.

3.8 SUPERVISION: Contractor shall provide competent supervision familiar with the project and are on-site at all times when work is in progress. Contractor is responsible for scheduling and coordinating various trade activities. Contractor is also responsible for assuring that all work accomplished, and materials used are in accordance with industry standards. The Contractor shall provide a primary and alternate point of contact that shall be responsible for the performance of services. The Contractor Point of Contact shall be available via telephone for service request and will provide the names and telephone numbers in writing to the Contracting Officer before the contract start date.

3.9 SUBMITTALS:

Upon contract award, Contractor shall provide Material Submittal Schedule (Attachment 5) within 10 calendar days of award listing all materials to be used for this project. Submittals will then be processed in accordance with Attachment 4 - Submittal Procedures.
