Seymour Johnson AFB, NC

1. BACKGROUND: Seymour Johnson Air Force Base has a requirement for a replacement engine for a Oshkosh TI-3000 Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) truck to return it back to service and maintain adequate coverage of the flightline for emergency operations

2. OBJECTIVES: To purchase a replacement engine built to the vehicle manufacturers (OEM) specifications

3. REQUIREMENTS: The government requires a complete remanufactured Detroit Diesel 8V92TA Mechanical engine to meet or exceed vehicle OEM horsepower and torque specifications using OEM or better components. OEM Part number is 8083-7400/08VF168154.

The following specs must be met:

Minimum 575 horsepower Minimum 1550lb/ft torque, Warranty of no less than 1 year/100,000 miles/1600hours Complete Dynamometer test report Engine build sheet

4. DELIVERY: Complete engine must be delivered to Seymour Johnson AFB within 45 days of contract award. Contractor will provide return shipping for the core engine removed from the vehicle in the container the new engine is received in. The Government shall package the core engine for return within 45 days of delivery. Shipping will be included in the contract price.
