About this file
This is a Statement of Work for procurement of Long-Term Removable Mounts (LTRM) for Electronic Flight Bags on KC-46 aircraft at Travis Air Force Base.
The 60/349 Operations Group requires 48 PIVOT KC-46 mounting systems: 24 units for the left/captain seat position (Item Code PM-KC-46-L-1001, Slide Mount SLD8-1001 with 3540 connector) and 24 units for the right/first officer seat position (Item Code PM-KC-46-R-1001, Slide Mount SLD8-1001 with 3540 connector), or brand name equivalents. The mounting solution must be fully compatible with the PIVOT "Click!" connection system and support EFB hardware at minimum weight/size of an iPad Pro 11-inch. The system must allow secure, tool-less crew installation and removal on the right and left lower window frames of KC-46 aircraft without damage to windows or frames. When installed, the bracket must contour to the window frame without creating raised or sharp surfaces that could injure crewmembers. The solution must comply with FAA 14 CFR Part 23.853 flammability requirements. All shipping and handling charges must be included in the pricing. Delivery is to 611 E Street, Room 140, Building 50, Travis Air Force Base, California 94533. The primary point of contact for operations requirements is the Chief, Operations Group Standardization/Evaluation, with a separate point of contact designated for post-purchase equipment matters. The procurement supports cost savings of approximately $148,000 over five years for four KC-46 squadrons by outfitting aircraft rather than issuing individual mounting solutions to crewmembers.

Statement of Work
For
60/349 OG/OGV Long-Term Removable Mounts (LTRM)
Description: The vast majority of the KC-46 fleet at Travis AFB lacks semi-permanent Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) mounting solutions. These mounts allow the secure placement and ready reference of EFBs during flight, enhancing aircrew awareness and responsiveness. Additionally, semi-permanent mounts allow the aircraft to be outfitted rather than each individual crewmember, saving four KC-46 squadrons approximately $148K in costs to issue individual solutions over the next 5 years. AMC/AFRC EFB case purchases use the PIVOT system of mounting for ease/stability. The mounting system must be fully compatible with the PIVOT “Click!” connection system. It must also allow secure, tool-less crew installation to the right and left lower window frames of the KC-46 aircraft and like crew removal without damage to the window or frame. When installed the bracket must fit contoured to the window frame and not allow a raised or sharp surface that could injure a crewmember. The solution must comply with FAA 14 CFR Part 23.853 flammability requirements and support EFB hardware at the minimum weight/size of an iPad Pro 11-inch.
