For the cylinder supply, the contractor must provide ultra-high purity nitrogen in 330-pound cylinders that are rented from the supplier, with the supplier responsible for all maintenance, testing, and replacement. Six cylinders must remain connected and available on the manifold simultaneously. For bulk liquid supply, the product must be UN-1977 liquid nitrogen delivered in gaseous form only. All connections for both supply options must be compatible with standard gas fittings. Deliveries must occur Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time, within five business days after receipt of order. Orders and deliveries shall be initiated by the government throughout the period of performance. The delivery location is Bureau of Reclamation, Mt. Elbert Powerplant, 5583 Highway 82, Twin Lakes, Colorado 81251.

Statement of Work

Nitrogen for K2A Requirement

Background: The Mt. Elbert Powerplant must maintain a continuous, slightly pressurized nitrogen (N2) blanket on Transformer K2A. This is a critical and ongoing requirement necessary to preserve and protect the transformer's insulation system.

Period of Performance: 05/01/2026 04/31/2027

Orders/Deliveries shall be initiated by the government throughout the Period of Performance.

Delivery Requirements: Nitrogen shall be delivered to:

Bureau of Reclamation Mt. Elbert Powerplant 5583 Highway 82 Twin Lakes, CO 81251

Deliveries must take place Monday - Thursday 8am to 4pm, MT.

Delivery shall occur within five (5) business days after receipt of order.

Nitrogen shall be supplied in both 330-lb cylinders (bottled gas) and bulk liquid form.
