RMRS Fire Sciences Lab - Janitorial Services

Attachment 03 – FiSL Janitorial Checklist

Services to be Performed two (2) days a week:

1. All Restrooms Completed Inspected

Clean and sanitize:

a. Floors

c. Toilets (suggest leaving toilet seat up to show it has been cleaned).

d. Urinals

e. Washbasins

f. Washbasin area

g. Traps shall be maintained free from odor at all times.

h. Shower and shower curtain

i. Mirrors

j. Soap dispensers

k. Towel dispensers

l. Wash wastebasket

m. Stall latches, light switches, and other surfaces that are frequently touched.

n. Toilet/urinal partitions/stalls and walls.

o. Walls within splash area of sink and paper towel dispenses.

p. Spot cleaning clean walls and all other surfaces.

q. Dust all horizontal surfaces.

r. Collect and remove trash.

s. Replace waste and sanitary napkin receptacles liners.

t. Fill toilet tissue, paper towel and soap dispensers.

u. Fill toilet tissue, paper towel and soap dispensers.

2. General Office and Common Areas Cleaning Completed Inspected

a. Spot clean and vacuum carpeting – hallways and common areas.

b. Clean (sweep or dust mop) hard surface floor areas, including stairs.

c. Spot clean spills and mud. Ensure the floor is free of debris and grit.

d. Remove marks left by soles of shoes.

e. Collect and remove trash, reline receptacles.

f. Dust horizontal surfaces includes:

Desks

File Cabinets

Counter-tops

Chairs

All office equipment

Windows ledges with a treated cloth

Glass top furnishings with an untreated cloth.

g. Spot clean chair mats (sweep and damped-wiped) to remove all obvious stains.

h. Spot-cleaned seat and back of conference room chairs.

i. Clean and sanitize

Light switch plates

Walls

Doors, door hardware

Stair rails

Counter-tops (reception, copier room, mail furniture) surfaces frequently touched.

j. Clean door(s) glass on both side glass and foyer glass at main entrance.

k. Clean and sanitize drinking fountains. (Remove all mineral deposits)

l. Clean and sanitize

Kitchen fixtures

Kitchen counter-top

m. Remove stains inside and outside sink.

n. Paper towels shall be supplied in the kitchen.

a. Remove all mineral deposits

11. Clean and sanitize kitchen fixtures.

12. Remove stains inside and outside of sink.

13. Fill paper towel dispenser in kitchen

A. Services to be Performed One (1) day per week- In addtion to the above Completed Inspected

a. Damp mop all hard surface floor areas.

b. Full vacuum all carpeting.

Full vacuum includes areas under desks, tables, chairs, at the base of furniture and walls.

c. Clean entry way mats.

d. Remove dust and cobwebs includes

Reception area

Handrails

Ledges

Grills

e. Clean doors and remove streaks

Kick plates

Hardware, Push bars

Surfaces.

f. metal surfaces remove streaks

g. Spot clean includes

All wall surfaces within 85 inches of the floor.

Woodwork

Glass on entrance doors inside and out free of smudges and streaks

h. Clean and sanitize light switch plates and adjacent wall areas.

i. Clean and sanitize stair handrails.

B. Services to be Performed Monthly Completed Inspected

a. Remove dust and cobwebs in high and low areas not reached one (1) day per week dusting.

b. Dusting includes:

Interior light fixtures

Corners

Window sills

Hand railing

Wall vent covers (where reachable by handle duster)

c. Wash all entry doors glass and associated windows inside and out – all accessible without ladder.

d. Clean includes

Wall bases

Baseboards
