About this file
This is an appendix to a Statement of Work (SOW) for canal repairs along the MOD (Main Operating Drain), MODE (Main Operating Drain Extension), and US Bypass canals. The document provides detailed specifications for required repairs at multiple locations, organized into two primary tables.
Table 1 identifies one repair location on the MOD Canal: H Check Structure at Avenue 9E downstream of Fortuna Wash (Station 239+66), where a radial gates check structure in poor condition requires demolition of concrete and mechanical structure, backfill, canal lining rebuild, and Type 1 expansion joint placement. The repair scope includes left side (36'x11'=396 SF), bottom (46'x9'=414 SF), and right side (46'x11'=506 SF) work. Table 2 specifies extensive repairs across the US Bypass Canal at 31 separate locations (BP-8 through BP-15), with multiple sub-sections at each location. These repairs involve demolition and rebuilding of broken concrete panels ranging from half-panels to multiple panels per location, with surface areas varying from 18 SF to 432 SF. Repair locations are identified by ID number and station measurement, with all station values measured in feet from either the nearest upstream or downstream structure depending on canal section. The document notes that all dimensions are approximated and subject to field verification by the contractor, with dimensions to be rounded to the nearest half-foot. Type 2 expansion joints are estimated as required at all repair locations where new concrete contacts existing concrete. Reference is made to Reclamation drawing 423-303-60177 for structure locations and benchmarks, with images available upon request.

SOW-MOD/MODE Canal Repairs- Appendix 1
Tables below list the ID number, locations, canal deficiencies along the MOD/MODE/US Bypass canals, and the intended repairs.
Refer to location map on Reclamation drawing 423-303-60177 for which structures along MOD, MODE, and US Bypass are labeled for reference points/benchmarks, accordingly. In tables below canal Left (L) and Right (R) are referenced with view downstream.
Images are available upon request.
Dimensions listed below are approximated and to be field verified with the Contractor present; dimensions will be rounded to the nearest ½ foot. Type 2 expansion joints are estimated required at all repairs, where new concrete contacts old concrete. Groove joints
Note: All station values for US Bypass portion with ‘+’’ are in feet from the nearest upstream structure, towards the south direction
(i.e. downstream).
Note: All station values for MOD and MODE portions with ‘+’’ are in feet from the nearest downstream structure, towards the north and east direction (i.e. upstream).
