Minimum Specifications Soybean Meal FY25

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Background and Purpose:

Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. About 50 percent of the effort is with beef cattle, 30 percent with swine, and 20 percent with sheep. Soybean Meal is needed to provide feed for these animals.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

2.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

The contractor must provide 450 tons of Solvent Extracted High Protein Soybean Meal with a minimum of 45.5% crude protein, 3.80% maximum crude fiber, minimum .50% crude fat, and maximum 8.0% maximum crude ash. Soybean meal must be delivered to USDA/ARS/USMARC, Clay Center, NE feed mill in hopper bottom trucks. Truck drivers will need to coordinate with feed mill operations on delivery times and schedules but normal hours of 7:00am -3:30pm Monday-Friday are anticipated. Delivery must start 04/28/2025 and will be an as needed basis throughout the whole year of 2025.

3.0 Deliverable / Schedule/ Address:
