About this file

This Statement of Work details a furnace replacement project for the Bearlodge Ranger District Office in the Black Hills National Forest. The project requires a contractor to remove and replace two ten-year-old furnaces that are experiencing failing inducer draft motors and plugged heat exchangers. Specific technical requirements include disconnecting and removing existing furnaces, installing two new furnaces (one 120 MBH and one 100 MBH, both 80% Single Stage Non-condensing with ECM Motors and LP Conversion kits), and connecting gas, electrical, air ducts, and performing combustion tests.

The contractor must complete the work during regular business hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday and Friday, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Tuesday - Thursday), with no weekend or holiday work permitted. Two key deliverables are required: a proposed project plan within five business days of contract award and an Operating and Maintenance Manual upon project completion. The contractor must be experienced in HVAC equipment installation, and no travel or government-furnished equipment is anticipated for this project.
