Attachment 001 SPECIFICATIONS

Soybean Hulls

1. Introduction: Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the

U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. About 50 percent of the effort is with beef cattle, 30 percent with swine, and 20 percent with sheep. Soybean hulls are used in sheep and swine rations.

2. Scope: The Contractor shall provide soybean hulls in the description and quantity listed.

3. Technical Requirements:

Product: Soybean Hulls (350 Tons)

Product Specification: Soybean hulls with a minimum of 8% crude protein, minimum

.5% crude fat, and a maximum 40% crude fiber. Soybean hulls must be delivered to

USDA/ARS/USMARC, Clay Center, NE feed mill in belt bottom trucks. Truck drivers will need to coordinate with feed mill operations on delivery times and schedules but normal hours of 7:00am -3:30pm Monday-Friday are anticipated. Delivery must start

07/01/2022.

4. Place of performance: USDA/ARS/USMARC

5. Government Furnished:

5.1) Access to the facility during normal business operations (Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm)

5.2) Location for delivery.

6. Performance Requirement Measures:

Soybean Hulls in the specifications and quantities required within the listed period of performance.

7. Pricing and Invoicing:

7.1 Invoicing will be consolidated to one invoice per month.

7.2 If required, a pricing review with evidence of market variability can be initiated by the contractor three months into the period of performance in accordance with the FAR52.216-2

Economic Price Adjustment Clause. No more than three price reviews can be initiated in the duration of the contract.
