About this file

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) is for Laboratory Sterilizer Maintenance Service at the Center for Grain and Animal Health (CGAHR) Research located in Manhattan, KS. The solicitation seeks a contractor with expertise in calibrating temperature and pressure sensors on Getinge sterilizers, specifically for two autoclaves located in Room 104: a Getinge 5596-1R-L-USA model (Serial #19041230) and a T Edge 10 model (Serial #22062456). Key performance requirements include conducting preventative maintenance once in the base period and each option period, providing repair services, maintaining a 4-hour telephone response time, 48-hour onsite response, and submitting comprehensive calibration reports.

The contractor must provide a repair service technician authorized by the original equipment manufacturer and will be required to work under USDA escort while on location. The facility will remain occupied during service, necessitating coordination with research staff. A Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) will be used to evaluate the contractor's performance, with an Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) of 100% for all technical requirements outlined in Section 2 of the document. The contractor must also provide documentation proving that calibration equipment has been calibrated within the past year and submit detailed calibration reports including supporting records and measurement uncertainties.
