Item Description UL1640 Reference Paragraph

Overcurrent Protection: 20A Overload Circuit Breaker OLCB: The PDU shall have a 20A Overload Circuit Breaker to protect the equipment from overloads in case too much load is applied. The OLCB shall be temperature insensitive (hydraulic magnetic type) UL1640 Para 15.2, Circuit Breakers

Suitable for use in indoor and out Locations – The housing of the PDU shall be rust proof, water tight meeting IPX6, MIL-STD-810 blowing rain requirements and 4X housing requirements. PDU housing must survive IPX6 water intrusion test UL1640 Section 9, Enclosure; IEC 60529

Interface with 3kW TQG (pigtail connection): The PDU Shall interface with the terminals lug on the 3kW TQG without the need of Soldier or Marine modification. The interface can be direct cables or by a quick disconnect pigtail with the cables that interface.

Operate at high temperature (125F): The PDU shall operate with a full load (20A) at a temperature of 125F with no degradation of performance. UL1640 Section 9, Temperature Test

Operate at low temperature (-25F): The PDU shall operate with a full load (20A) at a temperature of - 25F with no degradation of performance. UL1640 Section 9, Temperature Test

Drop: The PDU shall survive 4ft drop without degradation in performance. UL1640 Section 48 Drop Test, Para 48.1

The PDU shall meet the operational and fabrication requirements UL 1640 requirements. UL1640 Section 7, Current Carrying Parts

The PDU shall have two (2) 20A Industrial Grade Weather/Tamper-Resistant Duplex Self-Test GFCI Receptacles. The Receptacles shall be covered by an enclosure that will keep them watertight during outdoor rain conditions. UL1640 Para 9.6 Cord Connected Equipment

Cable: The cable between the power source and the PDU shall be a 50', 10AWG SOOWJ cable, wet and sunlight resistant. UL1640 Para 13.2, Cord Connected Equipment

The housing shall be made of corrosion resistant material or protected against corrosion. The distribution unit shall be painted Tan color 686A (reference MIL-DTL-53072C) UL1640 Para 11, Corrosion Protection
