Statement of Work For

Remstar Vertical Carousel Preventative Maintenance

Fairchild AFB, WA May 2024

1. Description of Services. The contractor shall provide preventative maintenance and repair on 8 Kardex/Remstar Vertical Carousel equipment and components at Fairchild AFB, WA twice a year in accordance with all federal, state, local laws, and regulations, manufacturer’s recommended standards, commercial requirements and this Statement of Work (SOW).

1.1. Scope of Work. The contractor shall complete all preventative maintenance work, including labor and travel expenses for the preventative maintenance on the Kardex/Remstar vertical carousel equipment at Fairchild AFB, WA. Equipment and locations are identified in Appendix A. The contractor shall also be responsible for repair on the assigned Kardex Remstar Vertical Carousels. Contractor personnel shall be fully qualified to service, maintain, and install equipment according to established standards.

1.2. Preventative Maintenance. The contractor shall perform preventative maintenance on the assigned vertical carousels in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Equipment that is worn but still serviceable will be reported to LRS.

1.3. Repair. The contractor is responsible for repair of the assigned vertical carousels. When a carousel requiring repair is discovered the contractor shall provide the government POC a written firm fixed price quote describing the repairs required and a price breakdown consisting of, at a minimum, the labor price and parts price. Repairs under $2,500 may be approved by the government POC and paid for with the government purchase card after funds are determined available. Repairs in excess of $2,500.00 must be approved by a warranted Contracting Officer.

No repairs shall be undertaken by the contractor without government approval.

2. General Information.

2.1. Hours of Operation. This work center is staffed at normal hours of operation; Monday- Friday, 0700-1600 to include management, excluding federal holidays. The following legal Federal holidays are observed:

2.2. CONTINUATION OF ESSENTIAL DOD CONTRACTOR SERVICES DURING

CRISIS. In accordance with, DODI 3020.37, Continuation of Essential DOD Contractor Service During a Crisis, and any aforementioned AF implementation, unless otherwise directed by an authorized government representative, all services and procedures identified in this SOW have been determined by the Contracting Officer and Functional Commander as not mission essential during a crisis.
