About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics document (Attachment 1) for a federal contract opportunity issued by Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, under solicitation number FA462026QA201. The 336 Tactical Response Support Squadron requires the procurement and delivery of interlocking padded flooring to cover 10,000 square feet for a new teaching and training space used by the 336 Training Group SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape) students. The specification calls for Diamond Fitness Systems Survivor Interlock Tiles, model #10SIT12, or equivalent products meeting the following salient characteristics: ½-inch thickness, high-strength impact-resistant hard rubber construction, interlocking configuration, 24-inch by 24-inch tile size, base color of black with 10 percent speckling (with acceptable alternatives of grey or white), suitability for both indoor and outdoor use, and mold and mildew resistance. The parts list requires a total quantity of 2,500 tiles to cover the 10,000 square-foot area. The "Brand Name or Equal" language permits offerors to propose equivalent products meeting all specified salient characteristics.
