About this file
This Statement of Work outlines requirements for parking lot reconstruction at the Pikes Peak Ranger District Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The base project includes repaving the existing parking lot and installing a new electronic cantilever gate with fencing, requiring demolition of existing asphalt pavement, concrete curb, and portions of security fence/gate, followed by subgrade preparation, aggregate base placement, asphalt paving, concrete driveway/curb construction, pavement striping, and installation of gate operator, electronic keypad, and bollards.
The period of performance is March 1, 2025 through August 1, 2025, with onsite work not to exceed 60 calendar days and an estimated onsite start date of June 1, 2025. Key constraints include: no weekend or federal holiday work, maintaining office operations and public front desk access during construction, required city/county permits prior to mobilization, provision of temporary toilet facilities, and equipment cleaning requirements to prevent noxious weed transport. Optional work items include either full perimeter fence replacement with manual gates (Group A) or adding barbed wire to existing southern fence (Group B). A site visit is scheduled for December 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM Mountain Time.
