Specifications

A field flow fractionation system is requested for characterization of large grain-based polymers and proteins in their native states.

A field flow fractionation (FFF) is a unique instrument for separation of very large molecules by size. This instrument will be used to identify molecular size of wheat gluten polymers. The instrument must be compatible with Wyatt DAWN® multi-angle light scattering (MALS) instrument. This covers acquisition of 1 (one) FFF instrument.

The separation system needs to integrate with Agilent 1200 Infinity II series HPLC components as well as the Wyatt DAWN® multi-angle light scattering (MALS) instrument to analyze molecular weight, size and conformation. The instrument should have an SEC switching option that allows for automatic switching between FFF-MALS and SEC-MALS, with connections for both SEC columns and Eclipse channels and software-controlled functions for switching between modes.
