About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing wood on baffles at Building 1024, Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma, under Project #WWYK260036, Work Task #14957323, Revision 0, issued July 15, 2026.
The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, plant, tools, transportation, equipment, testing services, quality control, and incidentals required to remove and replace wood baffles. Key architectural work includes removing and replacing all 3/4" plywood and 2x4 sleepers from overhead baffles with fire-resistant materials per UFC 4-179-02 Small Arms Ranges; replacing all 2x8 and 2x10 wood column wraps with fire-resistant materials; and sealing all wood components exposed to elements with water repellent finish. Structural work requires welding new 3/8" thick AR500 steel plates (ASTM E10-08/MIL-A-A46100) to damaged steel tube columns facing the firing line. The facility will remain closed throughout construction, with work occurring during normal duty hours (0700–1600 Monday-Friday) with utility outages as exceptions. No Government-required phasing exists. The Contractor must conduct a site investigation, provide a Reflected Ceiling Plan as a working document for Government approval before construction begins, and maintain working as-built and record drawings. Environmental Management survey indicates no asbestos, heavy metals, or lead-based paint concerns. Affirmative procurement requirements specify structural fiber board as an EPA-designated item. No Operations & Maintenance manuals, training, DD Form 1354, or equipment lists are required. All documents must be submitted electronically via optical disk, email, or DoD SAFE.
