David Clark (DC) Series 9900 Wireless Intercom System Key Components that includes 9100 Series Belt Station, Gateway System, custom connectors, adapters, and batteries. The requirement consists of Eight Contract Line Items (CLINs):
1) 25 each DRCADPH10-76/9100/ Adapter to mate DC military headset H10-76 to DC 9100 wireless system.
One end 4 conductor U-94 jack/switch. One end JAE CLA8 conductor connector.
Requirement shall include a) Set up of 25 Series 9900 Wireless Intercom Systems with accessories; provide user instructions, training, in-house minor maintenance, and safety training. b) Contractor shall coordinate delivery to 10756 J Street East, Hangar 40, JBSA Randolph AFB. The contractor will manage unloading, unpacking, assembly, accessory installation, setup testing, and personnel training.
c) All packing materials must be removed, and necessary documentation provided. d) Provide training for approximately 70 personnel will occur on the day of equipment setup. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 0630 to 1430. Contractor personnel will be accompanied by Hangar 40 Staff during installation and training. Contractor personnel names will be listed upon delivery.
2) 25 each CLAU9110-BSW> 9100 series belt station, smart -vox.
3) 9 each CLAU9920-GPB> Wireless gateway, Pushback.
4) 4 each CLA41035G-06> Adaptor, Pushback Gateway cable
5) 4 each DRC41035G-05-40EXT Custom connector cord for T-38 aircraft. 40-foot custom straight cord.
6) 8 each CLAA99-14CRG> 4 bay battery charger for 9900/9100 system batteries.
7) 8 each CLAC99-14AC1> Power cord for 4 bay charger 110 V AC.
8) 60 each CLA40688G-90> Lithium Polymer battery for 9100/9900 wireless headsets.
David Clark (DC), brand name, is required as 12 Flying Training Wing (FTW) has existing DC headsets that will only work and/or interface with Series 9900 Wireless Intercom System Key Components. The custom cord is specific to only the T-38 aircraft because the gateways need to plug in forward of the aircraft intakes to prevent ingestion into aircraft engines. The DC Series 9900 system is designed to provide clear, hands-free communication for aircraft pushback, maintenance, inspection, repair, and hangar operations at 10756 J Street East, Hangar 40, JBSA Randolph AFB, Texas

78150. This is not computer hardware or software. The DC Series 9900 Wireless Intercom System is essentially a closed loop walkie-talkie system used by aircraft (T-38) up to five technicians to communicate amongst each other during towing, jacking, aircraft engine operation, and communicating with cockpit personnel in aircraft that is required for use with the DC headsets. The system provides the following key features: Hands-free, full-duplex intercom with DECT-based technology; Clear communication in demanding environments; Rugged, marine-grade construction; Radio interface or intercom-only configurations available; Secure signaling to prevent interception; Compatible with most HF, UHF, and VHF mobile radios; Supports up to four users per Gateway; and Reliable range of up to 300 feet (approx.
100m) from Gateway; Multiple Gateway Adapters, and cables for T-38 aircraft assigned to 12 FTW; and DRC41035G-05-40EXT Custom connector cord for T-38 aircraft (40-foot straight cord).
Requirement will be posted as a 100% small business set-aside on Sam.gov. David Clark (DC), the manufacturer, is a small business. DC has many dealers/distributors that can provide the customer requested products and in addition many are listed as small businesses. Based on market research, the contracting officer has determined there is a reasonable expectation of obtaining offers from two or more responsible small business concerns that are competitive in terms of fair market prices, quality, and delivery.
or this requirement, David Clark brand name products will only work with the existing 12 FTW David Clark headsets that are on-hand. Requirement will be posted to SAM.gov to allow for adequate competition.
