1. Refer to Specifications Section 31 74 10 Table A for repair locations.
1.a. Full depth type repairs require sawcutting and removal of existing damaged concrete and underlying gravel drain as shown on this drawing.
1.b. Shallow type repairs can be cleaned and filled with concrete.
2. The size and location of the existing features shown is assumed and may not accurately represent "as-built" conditions.
3. The repair concrete shall have a minimum 28-day compressive strength of f'c = 5000 lb/in2
4. Position locations in above table are based on clockwise locations looking downstream in the tunnel.
5. As required, provide a gravel drain beneath each repair to relieve hydrostatic pressure against the new lining and to keep water from the concrete lining placement. Maintain pumping for minimum time after concrete placement per project specifications.
6. See "Guide to Concrete Repair, 3rd Edition (2015)"; published by the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, for additional guidance on repairing lining.

1. See Specifications for additional repair information.
2. Wrap geotextile fabric completely around the longitudinal ends of the gravel drain and weight the fabric in place to prevent grout backfill from escaping into the existing gravel drain.
3. Vertical vent and grout pipes to extend above tunnel invert. Do not cap vertical pipes extending up out of the lining. See Specifications for additional information.
4. Horizontal vent grout pipes to be 2 inches below the concrete lining. The horizontal grout pipes to be 2 inches from the bottom of gravel drain. Cap all horizontal grout pipes.
5. A minimum of 2 weep holes to be drilled at each full depth repair.
One on the upstream side at 7 O'clock and one on the downstream side at 5 O'clock. Additional weep holes may be needed per actual field conditions at the direction of COR.
