Oregon Department of Transportation La Grande Truck Repair Shop Fire Sprinkler System Upgrades
Project Description This facility is located on the ODOT Region 5 Campus in La Grande. The shop and dry sprinkler system were built in 1994; the sprinkler system remains mostly original piping. The shop is split into two systems, Dry System 1 and Dry System 2.
ODOT would like to upgrade as much sprinkler piping as possible to Schedule 10 galvanized steel pipe to avoid corrosion issues, as well as, convert it over to a wet system. The unheated areas are to be converted to an antifreeze loop charged with Propylene Glycol.
