About this file

This document is a sole source justification for a firm-fixed-price commercial contract to provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on a Reform Blade Tip Grinder (BTG) for the Air Force Sustainment Center. Reform Grinding Technology GMBH is the original equipment manufacturer of the BTG and the only contractor certified to perform maintenance, as proprietary data and technician certification is required. The base year and four option years would maintain two BTG machines at Tinker Air Force Base at an estimated total cost of $X million. An announcement was posted on SAM.gov to notify potential interested parties, though no other qualified sources were identified through market research. The contracting officer will determine price fairness and reasonableness using FAR price analysis procedures prior to award.
