About this file
This document is a performance work statement (PWS) that outlines the requirements for the sustainment and engineering services for the Navy's Submarine Acoustic Navigation Systems (SANS) Beacons. The key details include:
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery (ID/IQ) contract to Mikel, Inc. on a sole source basis. This is a follow-on requirement to a previous contract with Mikel, Inc. who owns the technical data developed under prior SBIR efforts. The contract will be for approximately 196,800 man-hours over a five-year period of performance. The NAICS code is 541330 with a $47M size standard. The PWS outlines 11 key tasks including requirements management, system engineering, production, testing, maintenance, training, and cybersecurity support for the SANS Beacons and associated Portable Undersea Tracking Range (PUTR) Processors. Contractor performance standards, monitoring methods, and acceptable quality levels are specified for each task.
