STATEMENT OF WORK

INSTALLATION OF AN AIR SHOWER IN BUILDING 622

02 Jul 25

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

1.1 PROCUREMENT OF AIR SHOWER. The contractor shall ensure that one (1) air shower is installed within the transition area of the Corrosion Control facility of building 622 on Grand Forks Air Force Base. The air shower to be installed shall meet or exceed the following characteristics:

- Approximate overall size is: width 50" x height 122" x length 66"

- Color HMI Touch Screen

- (2) Anodized Aluminum framed Safety Glass Doors with Hydraulic Door Closers - 36" w x 84" h

- Anodized Aluminum Fixed Bottom Door Sweeps

- (1) LED Recessed Light Fixture with Wall Switch

- Adjustable Anodized Aluminum Ceiling Nozzles

- Removable High Pressure Interior Nozzle Wall Panels

- 5HP (3.7kW), 3600RPM Sealed Ball Bearing Continuous Duty Motor (Motor meets or exceeds U.S.

EPAct and NRCan Canadian efficiency standards)

- Superior Efficiency Direct Drive Aluminum Airfoil Wheel

- 7800 FPM (39.62 m/s) Average Nozzle Velocity

- 1900 CFM (0.9 m3/s) Average

- (1) 24x24x11.5, 99.99% HEPA Filter

- Differential Pressure Gage, Dwyer Magnehelic brand, or equal

- Wall Return Air Grills with 10x20x1 MERV 8 Prefilters

- 2-1/2 Inch Diameter Sprinkler Sleeve

- Programmable Microprocessor PLC with 0-99 second adjustable run time and 0-10 second adjustable wait time

- Ships partially disassembled so parts fit through a 3x7 door

1.2 ASSEMBLY OF AIR SHOWER. The contractor shall be responsible for the following:

- Uncrating of equipment, supply all necessary assembly hardware, and mechanical erection of the equipment.

- Receiving, off-loading, and securing of all equipment components. Note: ASM section can provide needed support (forklift) for receiving components. The contractor may use double doors on the exterior of the building that lead to the installation site.

- Training of designated government personnel on operation and maintenance of all components installed

- Clean up of equipment and working area in which the installation is performed.

1.3 NOT PART OF THIS REQUIREMENT.

- Electrical work to include wiring, grounding, and all components that relate to this discipline.

- Any building modifications.

1.4 SAFETY BARRIERS. The contractor shall provide all construction support equipment items to control and secure the installation site.

1.5 ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE. Contractor shall abide and follow all federal, state, and local environmental regulations and restrictions. Any hazardous waste to potentially be generated by Contractor shall be conveyed to Government in advance for storage planning purposes.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION.

2.1. HOURS OF OPERATION. 0700-1500, Monday-Friday with the exception of federal holidays.

2.2. HOLIDAYS OBSERVED. New Year’s Day (Jan 1), Martin Luther King Day (Jan 20), President’s Day (Feb 17), Memorial Day (May 26), Juneteenth (June 19), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (Sept 1), Columbus Day (Oct 13), Veteran’s Day (Nov 11), Thanksgiving (Nov 27), Christmas Day (Dec 25).

2.3. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS. Contractors that do not have base access will be required to obtain a base access pass. The contractor shall deliver to the Government required info needed in a timely manner to facilitate base access requests. REAL ID is required for base access.

2.5. AIR FORCE ANTITERRORISM (AT) PROGRAM

The AT program seeks to deter or limit the effects of terrorist acts against the AF by giving guidance on collecting and disseminating timely threat information, providing training to all AF members, developing comprehensive plans to deter and counter terrorist incidents, allocating funds and personnel and implementing AT measures. In accordance with AFI 10-245 paragraphs 2.18 and paragraph 2.25, DOD contractors and sub-contractor personnel shall be offered Level 1 - AT Awareness Training. AT Awareness Training may be accomplished by either a Level I - qualified instructor, or by completing the "Force Protection" computer based training (CBT) course on the Advanced Distributed Learning System (ADLS) https://golearn.csd.disa.mil/kc/login/login.asp or at https://jkodirect.jten.mil for individuals without access to NIPR, possessing a CAC card, nor enrolled in DEERS.

Compliance with the training will be monitored by the contract specialist.

3. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED UTILITIES. All utilities (electrical, potable water, restroom, phones) shall be supplied by the Government for Contractor use.
