About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a federal contract opportunity to furnish and install furniture and electronic appliances in Bunch Hall Dorm Building B221.

The project encompasses furnishing 68 identical rooms across a three-story building with no elevator access. The building will be unoccupied during installation, with work limited to Monday through Friday, 0730–1700 CST, excluding federal holidays. Installation must be completed within 10 duty days, with any extensions requiring approval from the Military Housing Office (MHO) Point of Contact. The awardee will coordinate project start timing with the requiring activity, as the building is under active construction and work will commence upon completion or partial completion. A 53-foot trailer has unencumbered access for deliveries, and on-site storage is available approximately three-quarters of a mile from the building. Installers will have stair-only access and may need to mount products into sheet rock walls. If trash and debris removal is required during installation, a dumpster should be placed reasonably close to Building 221. The RFQ requires all-or-none bidding, meaning offerors must quote on all CLINs and all items with no partial bids permitted. Items may be open-market bids. No existing furniture requires disassembly, and no removal and disposal services are included in the scope.
