Definition of tool needed:

A Milwaukee M18 power hydraulic Combination tool. The Combination tool is the most versatile tool for pushing, pulling, lifting, and cutting roof posts, hinges, and high strength metals when performing vehicle extrication of injured patients. In addition, the cutter is used by Rapid Intervention Teams members to gain access and perform rescue of downed firefighters. The tools ability to be utilized without being tethered by bulky hydraulic lines to the hydraulic power unit, allows for rapid mobility and extended use. Multiple individual tools can also be operated simultaneously which is not possible with traditional hydraulic tools. A cutter that can be powered by the Milwaukee M18 High Output 8.0 can be recharged by already installed and utilized battery charging system on fire apparatus. Maintaining the same M18 platform will seamlessly integrate already purchased in-service tools and equipment.
