About this file

This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for purchase instrument FD20602600029-01, Version 1, generated on March 23, 2026. The document specifies military packaging and marking standards for three distinct line items under the governance of MIL-STD-129 (Revision R) and MIL-STD 2073-1 (Revision E).

The document addresses United Nations-implemented restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM) to prevent invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. All wooden lumber, pallets, and containers must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, with certification and marking required by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). Three items are specified: 5855016809196GA (PACRN AAA), 6625016582797 (PACRN AAB), and 5855DTL26010AGA (PACRN AAC). Items AAA and AAB require packaging in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1 and shipping/storage markings per MIL-STD-129, with additional marking requirements for unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer names, or OEM model numbers as specified on the AFMC Form 158. Item AAC requires no packaging data. All items are classified at MIL preservation level B. The packaging requirements document was signed by Richard J. Holmes, Packaging Specialist with the 406 SCMS/GULAA organization, on March 19, 2026.
