1. STATEMENT OF WORK:
Background – There is a need for the thermal printing system to have Annual Software Maintenance Product for D3-MMP in order to comply with the regulatory regulations of CLIA and COLA accreditation in order for patient testing at the Fort Duchesne Health Center Laboratory under Uintah & Ouray (U&O) service unit (Fort Duchesne, UT). The thermal printing systems must be capable of accessioning and barcoding patient lab orders for the labeling, identification, receiving of all patient samples. The thermal printing must also be capable of integration with the RPMS, Data Innovations and all analyzers used by U&O for patient testing. U&O Service Unit laboratory is open on weekdays to perform routine patient testing with occasional STAT and ASAP test order requests by the medical staff.
Description – The DataRay Inc. shall enter into a contract with the Fort Duchesne Health Center located in Fort Duchesne, Utah. Pricing shall include everything listed in the attached Quote # 3442 and Statement of work agreement.
Justification – The thermal printing system is used to perform the identification and barcoding of patient samples for testing on the analyzers. The tests are needed within the same day to provide treatment decisions by the medical staff. Some of these tests are monitored on diabetic patients under the Indian Health Service Governmental Performing Reporting Act (GPRA) Standards.
Impact – The lack of a thermal printing system increases the probability of pre-analytical and post-analytical errors in the laboratory. These pre-analytical and post-analytical errors have a huge impact on patient care. The lack of the service warranty would cause a failure to comply with the regulatory requirements of CLIA and COLA accreditation and could cause the lab to have to shut down.
Data Management Requirements Must be capable of interfacing with the Data Innovations middleware and utilize HL7 format (ASTM protocol) and be bi-directional interfaced with the VA Laboratory Package
5.1 RPMS, Sonora Quest, and all existing and future analyzers.
