About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a carpet replacement project for Buildings 296 and 877, with a 120-day performance period starting August 14, 2025. The project requires removing existing glue-down carpet and vinyl wall base, cleaning and preparing floors (concrete in Bldg 296, plywood in Bldg 877), and installing new roll carpet with cushion backing. Specific requirements include taking furniture photos in Bldg 296 for proper replacement, a phased work approach starting with Bldg 877's three rooms, and installing 4" vinyl wall base and transition strips.
Key contract specifications mandate using broadloom carpet (not carpet tiles) glued to the floor, obtaining CE Project Inspector approval for carpet and wall base submittals, and ordering materials exclusively from vendors in the attached Carpet Ordering Guide. The contractor must move furniture in Bldg 296, park storage trailers on-site, install barricades, perform complete clean-up after each phase, and repair any damage. A two-day delay is required between completing Bldg 877 and starting work on Bldg 296, with careful attention to room occupancy and furniture relocation.
