About this file

This Statement of Objectives (SOO) details the 558th Flying Training Squadron's requirements for modular wall paneling to divide a large training room into smaller sections for simulator training. The specific panel requirements include:

Quantity and Specifications: The squadron seeks 44 total white panels in varying sizes (14 x 48" x 84" x 3", 7 x 36" x 84" x 3", 22 x 24" x 84" x 3", and 1 x 12" x 84" x 3"), along with six panel connectors (4 two-way and 2 three-way). The panels must be tall enough to obstruct view while staying under 9 feet, be lightweight enough for 4 people to move, stand upright independently, connect without gaps, and be white to match existing room aesthetics. The panels will be used to create small rooms or large cubicles for RPA Fundamentals Course students to conduct simulator training briefs and debriefs, as well as to divide simulator stations.

Statement of Objectives (SOO)

The following objectives are to aid vendors in creating an offer for the 558 th Flying Training Squadron regarding the purchase of modular wall paneling.

- All panels should be tall enough to obstruct the view of the other side, considering the height of the average American adult, while not exceeding 9 feet in height, to avoid contacting 10-foot ceilings.

- All panels should have lengths varying from 1 to 4 feet.

- All panels should be wide and sturdy enough to stand upright without assistance from people or other objects.

- All panels should be light enough in weight for up to 4 people to move and manipulate.

- All panels should come ready to be connected to other panels in a way that does not allow gaps in coverage and allows the creation of corners. The use of a separate device connecting panels is acceptable, provided there is no gap in coverage or unappealing aesthetics.

- All panels should be white in color to match existing aspects of the rooms in which they’ll be used.

ESSENTIAL/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS / OPERATION CONDITIONS

(Modular Wall Paneling)

Essential / Salient Characteristics:

The 558th Flying Training Squadron is seeking various quantities and sizes of white modular wall panels, as well as equipment to connect them into designs as we see fit. Specifically, we’re looking for the following:

Fourteen (14) 48” x 84” x 3” Panels

Seven (7) 36” x 84” x 3” Panels

Twenty-Two (22) 24” x 84” x 3” Panels

One (1) 12” x 84” x 3” Panel

Four (4) 2-Way Panel Connectors

Two (2) 3-Way Panel Connectors

Operation Conditions:

The paneling will mainly be used to divide one large open room into several smaller sections. These sections may be thought of as small rooms or large cubicles, in which students in the RPA Fundamentals Course will conduct briefs and debriefs of simulator training with their instructors. Additionally, the paneling will be used in the same way to divide simulator stations, creating the effect of different rooms for each simulator used in training.
