Advanced Aerospace Systems Technology Research (AASTR)
STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES (SOO) ABSTRACT
10 Feb 2022
Brief Program Summary:
The AASTR program will conduct research toward the development, demonstration, integration, and transition of new aerospace vehicle technologies, designs, and integrated systems that will provide advanced capabilities to the Air Force. These technology capability advancements will be applicable across current and emerging Air Force aerospace systems in all Air Force mission areas.
The program will support the Aerospace Systems Directorate’s core competency areas of Aerospace Vehicles; Control Sciences; High Speed Systems; Turbine Engines; and Systems Integration and Flight Test as well as the strategic capability areas of Complexity, Unpredictability, and Mass; Speed and Reach; Global Persistent Awareness; and Enduring Technologies.
AASTR CUI SOO: The entire SOO may be received by following the below instructions:
Please note, the Statement of Objectives (SOO) is CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION and is only available to qualified US contractors, as defined by DoDD
5230.25 (which established the certified DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement, as the mechanism for certifying qualified U.S. Contractors). For more information on establishing eligibility, please refer to DoDD 5230.25 and the Joint Certification Program, both of which can be accessed from:

Qualified U.S. contractors must request a copy of the CUI SOO by contacting the Program Manager (PM), Capt David Walker, at David.Walker.91@us.af.mil and attaching a certified, current DD Form 2345. Upon confirmation of eligibility, the SOO will be provided to interested parties via the DoD Safe Website and the PM will provide a separate password to decrypt the file.
