Scope of Work

THEATER AUDIOVISUAL UPGRADE

Yosemite National Park

BACKGROUND

In 1999, Yosemite invested in a state-of-the-art theater which included access to six different languages, closed captioning and audio descriptions and was in a high-definition format. The theater shows several films in high-rotation, ten hours a day, seven days a week, to the public.

The audiovisual system is an older piece of equipment, with a newer operating system, and components have recently become obsolete and are impeding use. The movie players are 10 years old and have reached and surpassed their expected functional duration. The legacy movie players fail to display video properly on a regular basis. The film stalls (green screen) which is taking staff time to correct each time it occurs.

SCOPE

The scope of this requirement includes replacement of the two legacy players with two new digital HD movie players which are compatible with the current theater system controls and maintains all functionality; install new digital audio hardware and software which is compatible with the new movie players so the audio visual and control systems function properly; and maintain and build off of the current Crestron Control code, programming, custom automation code, and add new code that is an extension of the previous code so that the theater continues to operate under these parameters.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this upgrade is to replace equipment that is end of life and/or no longer supported and bring the theater back to optimum performance.
