About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding solicitation number 140P8523Q0039 from the National Park Service to upgrade the audiovisual system in the Yosemite National Park theater. The theater's existing audiovisual system includes an Extron JMP 2500 decoder, Media Matrix switchers, Dante audio distribution, Christie projectors, and Crestron control programming. The upgrade requires providing redundant Blu-ray players, expanding the number of audio channels for foreign language and audio description outputs to 16 channels, and full compatibility with the existing AJA and QSC components. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all installation work including cable trays and any necessary electrical work. No substitutions or changes to the specified equipment brands will be accepted.
The questions and answers provide additional details on the existing system such as automated daily playback of a 25-minute movie on loop, support for six foreign languages via Listen Technologies transmitters and receivers, and inclusion of control room photos and equipment lists as attachments. The custom scheduling software is code written for the existing system. The federal funds for the project come from the Department of the Interior National Park Service.
