About this file
The document is a detailed set of registration instructions for the Acquisition Resource Center (ARC), a classified and unclassified web-based system. The instructions outline a multi-step registration process for both government and non-government employees, requiring specific information such as full name, last 6 digits of SSN, email addresses, and for contractors, a DUNS number and SAM.gov email domain. The registration process involves creating an account on the unclassified ARC website, waiting 1-2 business days for system transfer, and then logging into the classified ARC 2.0 website, with a note that after July 1, 2014, logins will require an IC PKI certificate.
The registration procedure includes specific steps for account validation, including entering a classified email address, receiving a validation email, changing passwords, and potentially contacting the ACE IT helpdesk if additional assistance is needed. Notably, the document emphasizes the importance of using unique passwords for each system and provides contact information for the helpdesk (helpdesk@ace.svc.nro.ic.gov, phone numbers 855-4223 and 703-230-6300) for those requiring additional access support.

· If you are a government employee:

1. Establish an account on the unclassified ARC website at https://acq.westfields.net/register/default.aspx. Access to the classified system will be simplified if you enter your classified email address during this process.
2. Wait 1-2 business days for your account to be transferred to the classified system.
3. Using the same username (your unclassified email address) and password you provided in step 1, login to the classified ARC 2.0 website at https://acq.nro.ic.gov. Note - beginning 1 July 2014 logins to the classified ARC 2.0 website will require the use of an IC PKI certificate. For more information about IC PKI, please visit https://acq.nro.ic.gov/pki-information.aspx.
4. After your initial login to the classified ARC 2.0 website, you will receive an email containing a link used to validate your account (provided you entered a classified email address during step 1).
5. After clicking the link in your email to validate your account, you will be prompted to change your classified ARC 2.0 password. You should choose unique passwords for each system.
6. Once your password has been changed, you will be able to login to and access the classified ARC website.
7. If you did not provide your classified email address during step 1, you will need to contact the ACE IT helpdesk to obtain access to the classified ARC 2.0 website (helpdesk@ace.svc.nro.ic.gov / 855-4223 / 703-230-6300).
Additional note:
The action of logging in to the classified ARC in Step #3 above causes an email to be sent to your classified email account. You will not actually log in to the classified ARC during this step; it is simply used to generate an email to validate your user account.
