Scope of Work

For

USCG Air Station Clearwater (ASCW)

BASE DITCH DIGGING

March 29, 2022

Facilities Engineering Air Station Clearwater 15100 Rescue Way Clearwater, FL 33762

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

PART 1 – General:

United States Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater is planning to enter into negotiations with a contractor. The USCG is in need of a qualified contractor to clear out vegetation in the (Outfall) designated area. Prior to submitting a quote, it is mandatory to examine the SOW and it is highly recommended to visit the facility to take field measurements, evaluations, etc., and become familiar with existing conditions under which the work will be performed. After the award of contract, a pre-conference will be held prior to starting the work at Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater. After work is completed the area will be inspected and if any damage is incurred then the contractor will be liable for repairs.

PART 2– Location:

U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater 15100 Rescue Way Clearwater, Florida 33762

PART 3 – Facility Operating Hours:

The facility shall remain in operation throughout the service. Contractor access to the service site shall be limited to the following: 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Access to the site shall not be permitted on the weekends without prior written approval from the Contracting Officer (COR).

PART 4 – Security Requirements

1. Contractor shall provide a list of names to the Coast Guard POC for access to the base.

2. All personnel shall present ID to the security personnel at the entrance to the base.

PART 5 – Contractor Responsibilities:

i) Clear vegetation and dig out ditch.

1. Trim down all tall grass in designated areas.

2. Remove bushes, shrubbery and foreign objects in designated areas.

3. Lay down acceptable barrier material to prevent runoff and or erosion.

4. Use suitable machinery to excavate existing channel, contractor is responsible for damages caused by machinery used.

5. Dispose of vegetation and debris.

PART 6– Enclosures:

PART 7 – Final Inspection and Acceptance:

1. When the contractor has completed all of the work, they shall notify the Coast Guard (COR) for a final inspection. If the work is accepted, the contractor shall submit final invoice to the Coast Guard (COR).
