About this file
This is an amendment package containing appendices and instructional materials for the Technology InteGrator and AcceleratoR (TIGAR) Exploratory Topic solicitation issued by the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health through ARPA-H. Amendment 4 extends critical submission deadlines for intake Group 1, moving the Solution Video submission deadline to August 12, 2026, and the Full Proposal submission deadline to September 17, 2026. The appendices include formatting instructions for solution videos with caption file requirements, supplemental slide templates with a cost summary slide, phase-based cost information, and updated Administration and National Policy documents.
The TIGAR initiative seeks enabling technologies to unlock temperature-flexible storage capabilities for regenerative tissues and organs, addressing current logistical and stability challenges in complex biologics storage and distribution. Acceptable solutions may encompass new materials, artificial intelligence/machine learning applications, high-throughput screening, biological interventions, devices, processing methods, analytical technology, and packaging approaches. Proposals must demonstrate cellular-level innovations with explicit deployment strategies for thick tissue applications and prioritize strategies that reduce reliance on strictly controlled temperature zones, preferably achieving shelf-life stability at non-cryogenic temperatures. The solicitation structure includes a two-stage submission process: an initial Solution Video phase followed by full proposal submission, with detailed formatting requirements and cost documentation templates provided in the appendices.
