AOI Number 1
Area of Interest (AOI) Number 1
DARPA’s first AOI is innovative, commercial services and technologies (or new applications thereof) that propose new Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions or capabilities that provide potential technological advancements in the efficiency of the government procurement process. For this AOI, solution briefs should be received by July 16, 2021. Solution briefs received after this date will be reviewed, but potential offerors are forewarned funding opportunities will be limited after the initial deadline.
Examples of processes in which DARPA is interested in RPA solutions include, but are not limited to:
• Modification actions (including incremental funding, period of performance changes, and option exercises)
• Building contract awards
• Proposal evaluation
• Market research
• Cost and price analyses
• Populating common templates (e.g., Price Negotiation Memoranda)
• Integration of existing DoD information systems such as Defense Agencies
Initiative (DAI), System for Award Management (SAM), Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS), Standard Performance System (SPS)/Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2), etc.
Interested offerors will analyze DARPA’s procurement processes to identify those that would benefit from automation and provide the greatest return on investment (ROI). DARPA may invite prospective offerors, after a compelling solution brief, to review and analyze DARPA CMO’s current processes and operating environment and provide an assessment and recommendations of the most valued-added processes to address with RPA.
